Where Ishan started
Ishan's family kept their savings in two banks and a fixed deposit. He'd collected a statement from each, on different days, as he went past each branch.
What we found
His admission and English were fine. On our second officer's check, one rule stood out: SIRI asks that if you submit more than one bank statement, they're all from the same date. His were from three different days.
We asked all three institutions for statements dated the same day and checked that the total met DKK 7,426 a month for his study period. It cost a week. A refusal would have cost the DKK 3,060 fee and the September start.

In Ishan's words
I thought a statement was a statement. One small rule could have cost me the whole year.
If your profile looks like this
- 1
Get every bank statement dated the same day if you show more than one. See Denmark money rules.
- 2
Have someone who didn't build your file check it. That's why every file we lodge gets a second officer's review.
- 3
See IT courses abroad for how Denmark compares for software.
