Where Rabin started
Rabin wanted engineering in Europe but his family's budget was about Rs 35 lakh for the first year. University bachelor's in Denmark needed higher maths and cost more, and Copenhagen rent alone would have used up most of the money.
What we found
Denmark's academy profession (AP) degrees are 2 years, practical, and accept a +2 with English, with an internship built in. Construction technology fitted his year on site.
We looked at smaller cities: rent in Horsens is about half of Copenhagen's. And because SIRI accepts a paid first semester as documentation of funds, his money file was simpler.
We were clear about the limit: an AP degree isn't a full engineering degree. Many students top it up to a professional bachelor's later; we told him the cost of that too.

The result
Rabin is in his second year and starts his internship with a Danish construction firm in spring 2027. He works full-time every summer and plans to top up to a professional bachelor's.
In Rabin's words
Everyone said Denmark was too expensive. Copenhagen was. Horsens wasn't.
